35 TATRAS GATHER IN LEMGO

In the week-end of August 18th, the Tatra Register Deutschland got together. Not less than 30 Tatra’s competed in the well organised event. Members of the German Tatra Register gathered this year in Lemgo, between Osbabrück and Hannover. Well organised by T 75 owner Gerhard Strüve, it attracted not less than 35 Tatras. Almost all models showed up, streamliners, pre-war cars, T 603s, T 613s etc. Members came from everywhere: Czech and Slovak Republics, Germany of course, Holland, Great Britain (with a T 613 former works servicing car) and ev the USA. T 603 owner Danny Barnett with his brother had come to Europe to escape the heat of their native town of Las Vegas, without their car needless to say. The ride on saturday was characterised by beautiful wheather and several test and quizzes. Guess what is the speed of the river Weser, which tatra model was the first to bear the name Tatra etc, etc. In the morning we visited the beautifull Lipperland, in the afternoon the valley of river Weser. At the dinner that ended the meeting it appeared that your editor had come home 6th with his old-faithful T75. All competitors were satisfied and appreciated the fine work the German Tatra Register and Gerhard Strüve had done. More pix at the Tatra Register Deutschland website
