Entrepreneur René Matera, founder and majority owner of the industrial group Promet Group and as co-owner of Tatra Trucks, said:
“To our ownership entry Tatry not, because from the beginning, we wanted to own the famous Czech car manufacturer. Push us to the long development objective situation, which threatened extinction of our important trading partner. The reason for ownership changes is that the former owner of the business did not prosper and last year due to failure of a key contract got into a crisis threatening its destruction.
This caused the development leading to the execution of the company, its auction and then our asset joining the company Tatra Trucks and which company won the auction. The former owner of a business, company Tatra as, had a long enough period for another solution to the situation, but key shareholders apparently did not have the financial, managerial and commercial capacities to venture out of the crisis brought on their own. It is a great happiness that the company did not get into insolvency, which would end production and essentially extinction car.
I also Jaroslav Strnad we in our business history prove that we can drive industry and can provide an outlet for their produce. I believe we have all the prerequisites to succeed in the Tatra Mountains. It is a huge challenge for us to venture back where it belongs, that is the world’s leading car manufacturers in the segment of commercial and special vehicles. “
