In the past week the Czech “Loprais Tatra Team” team worked intensively and tested in the military field Zahorie at Senica in the Slovak Republic. The new place, which provided a driving permit in very difficult terrain, was chosen this time.
“We had three days of intensive testing. After the very difficult debut of our Tatra ´Queen 69´, which was the Russian Silk Way Rally, it was the first time after adjustments that we went out from workshops in Frenštát pod Radhoštem to the Slovak Sahara to test newly modified engine, different damper settings and stabilize the vehicle,” team driector Ales Loprais said.
“There are still things to improve on the Queen. Many thanks to our fans, dear guests, but especially to the partners, which not only sweetened the testing by their visit, but also helped to create amazing background and atmosphere of bivouac. So we ate and drank very well. It was not only work but also very fun and a great motivation for all of us,” commented Aleš Loprais contentedly.
The whole team is gathering pace, which will culminate in the period from 5.1. to 18.1.2014, when the sixth year of the Dakar Rally will take place in the South America.
